Dr. Vanessa L. McQueen serves the Body of Christ and the local assembly of believers of The Sanctuary Covenant Christian Fellowship alongside her husband of 40 years, Overseer Frederick L. McQueen.
She originally heard the call of a prophet as a teenager. However, it has taken many years of His Holy Spirit working in her life to mature her to the place spoken to her years before. She knows what it means to have a call of God on your life and not know what to do with it, how to explain it to others, or how to use it to bring glory to Him.
She also knows the importance of character, maturity, and integrity in ministry.
"There are many lessons that I have learned in my journey. I have seen the prophetic misused, manipulated, and used to bring condemnation and confusion in the lives of God's people. It is my heart and a part of my destiny to bring the truth and to reveal the authentic when it comes to dealing with the Word of God and that which is called the prophetic.
I welcome the opportunity to minister the Word of God during this time, knowing that there is much counterfeit in the four walls of the church. There is a great revival of God's Word that is coming, and I have purposed with all of my heart to be a part of the renewal of the Holy Spirit that God is bringing to the earth!
Join me in my quest to see the Word of God bring salvation, sanctification, restoration, and renewal!
Vanessa celebrates her role as wife to the love of her life, mother of four gifted children, and Nana to the most adorable granddaughter ever!
My life is the quote from Walter Brueggemann, "The task of prophetic ministry is to nurture, nourish, and evoke a consciousness and perception alternative to the consciousness and perception of the dominant culture around us."
Dr. V has almost forty years of experience as an entrepreneur in the non-profit arena, starting with funding and opening the AASK Special Needs adoption exchange in Cincinnati in 1993 when she and her
husband relocated from Toledo, Ohio.
A few years later, she accepted the Director of Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship's social service program role. Her
vision and hard work, along with an incredible team, grew it from a one-person volunteer program that gave out emergency assistance to a few people each month, transitioning it into a successful workforce development program honored by the state of Ohio with over 20 paid staff persons from churches across Cincinnati. They were even invited to share their success at the Ohio House of Representatives.
Dr. V's next non-profit entrepreneurial role would be starting a training school on prophetic and spiritual gifts in 2002. The Destiny Academy has served thousands of individuals over the past 22
years through training classes, conferences, and retreats.
Never one to shirk from a challenge, Vanessa said yes to her additional assignment of serving as a co-pastor alongside her husband in the male-dominated world of ministry. They started a groundbreaking ministry in 2003, celebrating 21 years this year. She preaches and teaches at their local assembly and travels extensively preaching and teaching the word of God.
In 2020, during the height of the epidemic, Dr. V and her husband launched Chrysalis Community Development Agency, home of Mary's Helping Hands Diaper and Clothing Resource Center, where
she serves as the Executive Director. In 2023, CCDA served over 350 families distributing over 300,000 diapers and thousands of pieces of clothing at no cost to the recipients.
Vanessa received her Doctorate of Ministry and is currently working on a ThD. Her first book, entitled, "Discovering Destiny in Hidden Places" will be published in March 2024. She and her husband, Overseer McQueen celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary in November.
